I can't and won't try it...I am allergic to ciggy smoke and weed smoke. They both induce my asthma into a major fit. But I have in the past had a contact high only due to the fact at the time I didn't know I was allergic. Go figure.

This is only true if you are buying what is known as "schwag," "mexican brown," or "brick" marijuana, which has most often been smuggled over the US/Mexico border in massive compressed blocks.  This weed is often sprayed with PCP (angel dust) because of it's preservative and high-intensifying properties.  This weed is almost NEVER safe to smoke and nobody ever should.  That being said, most decent weed out there is hand grown in a small-time operation without the use of pesticides or preservatives and is completely safe to smoke.

Most people I know, and many test subjects in widely published and available studies report that smoking weed produces an extreme sense of relaxation and self-comfort when they smoke.  This is in a way medicinal, especially if you have a high stress job/lifestyle.  I have a touch of ADD, and it is much easier, cheaper, and safer to self-medicate my condition with pot than it is with alcohol (which has a host of extremely harmful long term negative side effects) to see a psychiatrist and take drugs which have poor intended effects and possibly harmful side effects.

Plus it supports the destabilization of third world countries and their governments as well as increasing the amount of crime in those countries and generlly lowering the quality of life.

Super propaganda style.  Most of the marijuana consumed globally is produced locally.  There is very little international marijuana trade (with the exception of the bricked marijuana, which is very easy to spot and stay away from).

Don't use them unless you KNOW FOR SURE that they are Psylocibin-containing mushrooms, other 'magic' mushrooms are generally not safe (i.e. deadly).
Don't use them unless you know someone who has *for sure* eaten the *same batch* that you are offered.
Don't use them unless you are *with* people who have used them before, and preferably with someone else who will stay sober.
Don't use them if you are in a bad state of mind or might possibly enter a bad state of mind, emotions are amplified to a sometimes manic state when on shrooms.
Don't use them unless you have a safe and private place to stay for the next 14 hours.

Always use caution selecting the set (your physical environment) and the setting (the people you are with) before you fry.  Try to get everything you could possibly need in a 14 hour period, going places is generally a bad idea (except maybe a group nature walk...plants look CRAZY in the daytime when yer frying).

Unless you have psychonazi parents, it may be a good idea to share your interest with your parents and see if they have some wisdom to pass on (most people older than 35 have definitely fried at one point..remember these people were around in the 60s and 70s.

I would suggest not using them more than once per year, as a lot of people who fry a lot get wierd.
