so i'm still in my junior year of high-school and everyone seems like they already know what they want to become. i am so confused on what to do. i'm thinking about a career in medicine, i wanted to be a M.D. however the 8 years of school plus 1 year of internship plus 2-6 years of residency seem tedious and difficult. plus there is close to no leisure time and to tell you the truth, my true love is music. HALP!


and if you're going to say to focus on "just music" i'll tell you that i really want to study a career because you know how music is not guaranteed.

I wanted to be a Music Ed Major when I was going to graduate, but my parents gave me the speel about it not being an actual career. So I majored in Biology Pre-Med my first semester and then switched to English my second semester. There's no rush in picking a major right away. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do ...and in High School there were so many different choices. You can always be Undecided until you figure out what you want to do. At some colleges and universities they have an option where you can make your own plan on what classes your going to take according to your interests.

after college go to the military thats what i plan on doing be like a doctor in the military free training and u get to be an officer since u did college and all u gotta do is go to iraq a few months

Arts Manegment focus on the business end of music. Their is also Music Education. Dont worry if you do not know what you will be. Most of those kids who say they have " choosen" will end up changing their major anyway. For right now try to take classes that explore different things you might be intrested in. You also have to remember that really  thats one of the things college is about, changing your major and taking many diffrent classes to see where your real intrests lie. To discover what a field is really like. For me it seems like everything sounds good. I think that this is a product of youth. Just wait till you have more of a focused mind and college is about when that will be.
