Just FYI, this is worst case scenario for the RIA: The alliance has disbanded or been forced to disband or whatever. There's no way to still be a member of the RIA.

I might join IRON. I have a friend there, and I've always had lots of respect for them.

I'm not in RIA, but if the same question applied to me, I'd probably fight in a last stand attack against all odds.

If I had to choose an alliance however, it would probably be either ASC or I'd start fresh with a fairly new alliance that was just getting off the ground or start my own.

Too bad this question wasn't asked back in January. I would have had two simple answers. NAAC and VE. Obviously, one can't join them anymore as they're disbanded now. Funny how that happens to my favorite alliances.

Don't get me wrong here. This is a good alliance as well. But as far as being a member is concerned, I don't think I'd fit all that well. But who knows. Maybe I would.
