I used to be a pro, and I loved playing front. I don't even want to begin my stories. Listen to this: if you're really good BPS just isn't anything in comparison to putting it where it counts, and I personally think that all pro teams waste paint due to their demanding sponsors wanting it to appear as if it's necessary to waste an entire hopper STAT so to try to trick ignorant average joeys into spending an unnecessary amount of money on paint. If you look good you can see front players in the top teams sometimes use 12v revys. I myself held have down the field with as little as about thirty balls while being the last man standing, and sometimes in that situation I've still won. Don't get me wrong though, because you always need to mix up your strings of paint in order to trick your opponent to into anticipating the gap between the balls.

Yeah, I play mid.  I'm with you.  As long as a marker'll shoot 15 bps it's fine.  And I'd much rather have a nice electro than a blowback thing no matter how fast it cycles..

I like a fast BPS because I usually provide covering fire for my team to move.
I paintball with some former marines and we usually use the same tactics that we used in the military.  Another thing, is that we try to use intimidation to our advantage.  Specifically, when we go, we wear our combat uniforms and roll out to the field with all of our nice guns.  That shows some people that we are'nt just "weekend warriors" or random players, but that we've got experience and play fairly often.  It also helps tilt game toward us.  Sometimes, if one person sees us he won't even shoot.  He'll go try to find his teammates and we usually see him leave.
