You do realise that just because someone famous or notable says something, it is not automatically true? Sure you could find a hundred quotes against gun control but I could just as easily find a hundred quotes for it. Also, effective gun control means people don't have access to guns, and if nobody has access to guns there is no need to carry a gun to protect yourself. The reason to own a gun arose from people owning guns...
Edit: An example, in Australia we have such laws and I don't actually remember the last time I heard of a shooting death (minus the cases where the gun was a cop's)
Do you realize when somebody has an opinion based on fact, nature, and logical prospective then that mean that it's probably best to pay attention to it, and consider it?
You're acting like paris hilton, just said we need not guns, or vice cersa, and I believed her.
The answer to your question by the way is no you fucking jerk off. Yes fuck you for your insulting derogatory question. I'm sorry, but you must eat shit for asking me that. I only hope that you agree, and I do challenge you to find me some good for gun control quotes by the way, because I don't know of one that's not easily contradicted by common sense so kindly please enlighten me.
Lets see here.
I guess you didn't read those articles, because they're not written by famous people, but instead infamous prestigious people.
If nobody had access to guns then there wouldn't be anymore crimes involving guns you say well then wow. You must be a genius. Oh, and you forgot something. Crimes are the problem, and not guns. No guns would make places a paradise for criminals.
Please look into this article, it's called "The World Without Guns."
My dad needs to read it by the way, because he has the same exact philosophy.
"Imagine the world without guns" was a bumper sticker that began making the rounds after the murder of ex-Beatle John Lennon on December 18, 1980. Last year, Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, followed up on that sentiment by announcing she would become a spokeswoman for Handgun Control, Inc. (which later changed its name to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, and which was previously named the National Council to Control Handguns).
So let's try hard to imagine what a world without guns would look like. It isn't hard to do. But be forewarned: It's not a pretty picture.

Now factories making homemade guns are turning up.
Then it goes to explain how no guns = muscle power, but the point is there's always going to be criminals, and these criminals may kill you with what ever even their bare hands so criminal intent is always there no matter what, and our founding fathers knew of this nature.
The good people have the need to bare arms from the get go weather it's to protect them selves from the tyranny of government or worse yet a criminal, and by the way australia, is actually suffering worse from homicide ever since it placed a gun ban against the ordinary good citizens.

Well you have me, the founding fathers who made this country, and some other truly brave people to stand by or you have cowards, dictators, cruel kings, and soccer moms who spend their existence sucking at life to stand by.
Just do me a favor, and don't say which you choose, because things are safer that way.
Facts again:
